Social media is insane. Like what we are using now, and on our phones. I remember personal computers (PCs) becoming popular in the early 1990s. Crazy the technological development which has happened since then. All so I can smoke weed and share a high thought on this app. Haha. So much more, of course. But I also think of the exploitation of nature and labor which was used to empower the tech basis for this whole new internet and then social media world. Profits made by the many but which end up in the hands of a few. A fundamental inequality built into the capitalist system. Oppressive logics like racism, sexism, and ableism weave their way into the mechanisms of the system making economic inequality unequal among different cultural groups racialized colors, ethnicized cultures, sexed genders, nationalized specific state knowledge, and other unnatural human inventions for classifying living human beings to manage them for ruling class purposes.
